LEON WAISBEIN
FOUNDER’S CIRCLE MEMBER

Leon Waisbein was born and raised in the challenging climate of Siberia. After high school and military service, he became a medical student at the local university, where he met his wife Irina.

They found themselves at a crossroads after the collapse of the Soviet Union, which changed the lives of many people. After much consideration, they decided to immigrate to Israel and join other family members who lived there. They experienced all the usual hardships of a young couple in a new country – establishing a home, absence of steady jobs, and starting a family.

Struggling to support the family, Leon and Irina were unable to continue their medical education in Israel. Leon became an orange picker. "It was great," remembers Leon, "fresh air, an endless supply of oranges and $400 a month – I never had that in Siberia! The only problems were occasional falls from the orange trees."

"It was great," remembers Leon, "fresh air, an endless supply of oranges and $400 a month – I never had that in Siberia! The only problems were occasional falls from the orange trees."

Herbalife® products and the business opportunity were introduced to Leon and Irina by their Siberian friend Nikolay Mill. Leon’s parents and grandmother also started using the products, and because of the great results they all experienced, Leon decided to become a full-time Distributor. In his very first month, he had 36 retail customers and earned a great retail profit. Encouraged by this success, some of his friends became Distributors as well.

Leon made it a point never to miss a single Herbalife event or qualification. Eighteen of his downline Distributors joined him at the 1993 Extravaganza in Barcelona, Spain, many of whom later became members of the Millionaire and President’s Teams.

Since then, the Waisbeins’ business has expanded internationally. In 1994 Leon and Irina achieved Chairman’s Club; and now, 15 years later, they are members of the Founder’s Circle.

"The best part was always the opportunity to learn from Mark Hughes, Jim Rohn and the top Distributors," Leon says, "I feel lucky to have Michael Cole, 30K President’s Team member, as my upline Sponsor and friend – he has been a great source of knowledge, wisdom and inspiration during all these years."

Leon and Irina are proud to be part of Herbalife, led by Michael O. Johnson, his team and the entire Chairman’s Club, and they are looking forward to Herbalife’s new horizons and achievements, changing people’s lives around the world.
